No-Limit Texas Holdem Poker- Who is Howard Lederer?

Howard Lederer lived in a family of five where he loved playing different card games when he was young. He discovered himself getting very aggressive in the above-mentioned card games as he was competing against his dad. After graduating from high school, Howard decided to place college on hold for a bit and relocated to New York to compete in some formidable chess. While participating in chess, he was brought in to a poker game going on in the back of the room. Howard’s first two years were rough as he would play countless hours and do not win most times. He made some extra cash by being an assistant for the poker enthusiasts. He judged he might boost his game by balancing his life outside of poker. He made an effort to acquire more rest and focus more on poker.

The real advancement in his game happened when he began gambling at the Mayfair Club in New York. The Mayfair was a bridge and backgammon club where the greatest players would often play against one another. He was able to access several of the best minds in chess. With their assistance, Howard Lederer would sharpen his strategic thinking techniques. Howard used these strategic concepts in the game of No-Limit hold’em.

Howard also assisted his sister Annie Duke master the game of poker. Annie was a superb student of the game as she constantly asked questions about how to make the correct decision. Howard Lederer told Annie to head out to Las Vegas and play in the WSOP tournaments. Annie is one of the strongest female players the poker world has ever seen. He moved to Vegas in 1993 and competed in cash games for the following decade. When the World Poker Tournament gained popularity, he made the decision to compete in more tournaments.
