Howard Lederer grew up in a family of five where he liked gambling on various card games at a young age. After graduating from secondary school, Howard made a decision to put higher education on hold for a little while and headed to New York to participate in some big-time chess. Howard Lederer moved to Vegas in Nineteen Ninety Three and competed in money games for the following 10 years. When the WPT gained popularity, he decided to participate in more tournaments.
