Literally millions and millions of people want to be the next "big-time thing" in poker, but here is a short list of four of the more noteworthy "great pros" of the game. Despite the fact that "nice" is associated with their names when you are at a poker table it is "no more Mr. Nice guy" up until they have put you out of the competition!

Daniel Negreanu

In 2004, his tournament earnings added up to in the region of $4.4 million and he came away with two highly respected awards in the WSOP Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Tourney Player of the Year. In Feb Two Thousand and Six he was appointed Card Player’s Favourite Poker Player. Daniel even still has the humility to speak with his fans about how they will be able to advance their own game.

Howard Lederer

Known as "The Professor" and brother of fellow poker professional Annie Duke. His achievements have lead to him making an educational poker video called "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and co holding a tournament poker show for Fox. As of 2005, his total life winnings exceed 2.7 million dollars.

Scotty Nguyen

Scott is one of the most active players in poker and between Two Thousand and 2004 he finished in the money in more than 100 competitions. He is notorious for saying "yeah baby" during poker matches and also credited with the term "that’s poker baby" when alluding to a particularly bad defeat. As of Two Thousand and Six, his career winnings are just about 6 million dollars.

Chris Ferguson

Chris has won 5 WSOP titles with 2 of his wins happening in 2003. Has the alias "Jesus" as a result of his trademark long hair and beard, that, and along with his ability to throw playing cards fast enough to slice through pickles and bananas. As of 2005 his total live poker tournament winnings exceeded 5 million dollars.
